Iran, Mashhad
This hospital began its activities in 1951 as a clinic with the aim of treating infectious diseases in its current location. With the development of the holy city of Mashhad and the increasing population and the growing number of pilgrims to the heavenly shrine of Imam Reza, establishing a special center for treating children was considered one of the most urgent issues of that day. Accordingly, with the great efforts of the Sarwar Charity Foundation, the clinic was demolished in 1990 and, after its construction and equipment, it was donated to Mashhad University of Medical Sciences in 1996.
Over the years, Dr. Sheikh Hospital expanded significantly, transforming into the Sarvar Subspecialty Medical Center for Children, now recognized as the only center in eastern Iran providing comprehensive pediatric subspecialty care in hematology, oncology, and nephrology. This makes it a critical institution for children requiring complex treatments such as cancer therapy, kidney disease management, and advanced diagnostic services.
