Overview
Dr. Akbar Nouralizadeh, registered under Medical Council Code 64873, is a specialist in kidney and urinary tract surgery with fellowship training in Endourology and Laparoscopy and serves as an Associate Professor at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. Born in 1972 in Mianeh County, he entered medical school via the national entrance exam in 1980 and graduated in 1997, then completed urology training at Shahid Beheshti University in 2003 with top ranks in pre‑board and board exams. He completed an endourology fellowship at Shahid Labafinejad Hospital in 2005, joined the faculty there, progressed from assistant to Associate Professor in 2011, and held leadership roles including Deputy Director (2008–2013) and Head of Shahid Dr. Labafinejad Hospital (2013–2019). He has been Secretary of the annual Endourology Association congress, authored the first comprehensive Persian urology reference for national board exams and a standard textbook of general urology used in training and admission preparation. His clinical and academic work focuses on minimally invasive endourologic and laparoscopic management of complex stone disease, reconstructive urology, education of trainees, and leadership in national endourology programs.
