Overview
Dr. Seyyed Hasan Hashemi, registered under Medical Council Code 24381, is a renowned ophthalmologist with a specialization in Ophthalmology and advanced fellowship training in the Cornea and Extraocular (Anterior Segment) field. He is the founder of the Noor Ophthalmology Complex in Tehran and has pioneered numerous innovations in eye surgery, including corneal transplantation and refractive procedures. His academic and clinical contributions include establishing the Shahroud Eye Cohort Study, the first of its kind in the Middle East. Dr. Hashemi has also served as Iran’s Minister of Health and Medical Education (2013–2017), combining medical expertise with public health leadership. Through his clinical practice, teaching, and research, he has significantly advanced ophthalmology and corneal surgery both nationally and internationally.
